AI Terms & AI Privacy Disclosure

This disclosure explains how DuruVault's optional AI-assisted features work. It supplements the Privacy Policy. AI features are provided by DURU LLC and are optional.

1. Opt-In and Consent

AI features are OFF by default. They run only after you enable intelligent features in Settings and, for document analysis, provide consent for the specific document. You can turn them off at any time.

2. What AI Features Do

• Recognize, classify, and automatically categorize documents
• Extract information and detect expiration dates
• Provide document search, summarization, and question answering ("Ask Your Vault")
• Suggest organization and generate reminders

3. What Is Processed

When you use an AI feature, we process only what is necessary to provide it:

• Your question or instruction
• The relevant document(s) or the portions needed (for analysis, a document image or first page)
• Relevant extracted information and account/feature context needed to respond

4. Third-Party AI Provider & Training

AI features rely on a third-party AI/ML provider that processes your content to generate a response. DuruVault does not use your documents to train our own models.

The provider's data use, retention, and any model-training practices are governed by its agreements. [FOR CONFIRMATION: the provider's identity and whether it retains or trains on submitted content must be confirmed against the actual provider agreement before this section is published as final.]

5. Accuracy

AI output may be incomplete or incorrect. "Ask Your Vault" answers are grounded in your document details and will indicate when information is not available. Do not rely on AI output as legal, financial, or professional advice.
